A short business portion will begin the meeting, followed by local producer recognitions (+ awards!) and board nominations, and a potluck dinner will close out the evening. Please join us, and if you’re interested in joining the SAPA TV Board of Directors, get in touch with johnny@sapatv.org.
On Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at 7:00pm, you can watch the full hour-long documentary of Stellafane’s 100th annual meeting, which took place in August of 2023. See homemade telescopes, the science behind how they’re made, memories from over the years and the intriguing local history as to how the Springfield Telescope Makers got their start. Produced by SAPA TV Production Coordinator Aimee Parnell, this documentary will premiere on SAPA TV’s Public channel, accessed online at sapatv.org or on local Comcast channel 1077 / VTel channel 160. SAPA TV thanks this year’s participants for sharing so much about their interests, impacts and history. Here’s to 100 more years of Stellafane!
SAPA TV will be hosting an intimate acoustic evening, rain or shine, this Thursday at 6pm. Come hear the songs of local songwriter extraordinaire Pat Daddona, and her guest Suzanne Waldron, along with sets by American Primitive guitarists Ethan WL from MA and Liam Grant from NH. A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated, and the concert will be filmed for future broadcast. If the weather holds up, this concert will be held in the back alley behind the building. If it rains, we’ll move inside to SAPA’s studio. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome! We hope to see you there ~

From live music, to flood assistance information, to community events and veteran interviews, SAPA has been busy this summer making sure the voices of our community are being amplified! Here are some highlights of SAPA TV programming this summer available to watch on demand:
As of yesterday, we’re fully back on both Comcast channels! Thanks for bearing with us. HD will be coming to 1077 and 1087 at some point in the coming months as well
Our VTel Channels 160 & 161 are back on the air! Thank you to the VTel engineers who were working on the issue all throughout yesterday and this morning. Comcast Channel 1077 still has no picture, but is carrying audio. We’ll post another update when that is fixed.
We’re aware of outages on both of our VTel channels 160 & 161. We’re working with the VTel team to get back on the air as soon as possible. We’re also aware of a picture outage on our Comcast channel 1077 (though the audio still works) – we have a replacement part on the way to fix this issue. When it rains, it pours! Thank you for bearing with us and in the meantime, our livestreams can always be watched on sapatv.org.
SAPA will be closed on Monday July 3 and Tuesday July 4 in observance of Independence Day. If you’d like to borrow equipment, make sure you contact us ahead of time at 802-885-6248 or stop into 335 River Street anytime Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
On Friday June 16th at 7pm, the graduation of Green Mountain Union High School will commence! SAPA will be teaming up with Okemo Valley TV to record and broadcast the event. It can be watched live on OVTV’s YouTube channel or on SAPA TV Gov/Ed. The link to watch online is below.
SAPA TV recently teamed up with Senior Solutions (The Council on Aging for Southeast Vermont), Eureka Organic Farm and the Copper Fox to produce a brand new cooking show titled “Eat Your Veggies”! The first episode is available to watch On Demand via SAPA TV now – check it out and if you’re eligible, sign up for Senior Solutions’ program to receive your own veggies. Now there is knowledge at your fingertips for how to use your veggies, even ones that you may not be used to (beet greens are my new favorite thing)!
